We discover fulfillment once we embrace our true selves, the moment we realize we have everything we need to be happy within us fulfillment is ours. The only challenge is the other stuff, our fixations with how other people perceive us, how to acquire more of the things that we think will make us happy, and perhaps even the on-going struggle of keeping our weight below that dreaded number. For many brandistas the real issue is learning to stop obsessing over who we are not, so that we can nuture, grow, love and support who we are. How do we find the courage to remove our masks and the accompanying false fronts of people-pleasing and affectation, the obsessive need for power and security, the backpack of old pain, and our own mental talk that keeps us limited and contained?
Here’s how I’ve gotten to this point: failure, mistakes, disappointments, indecision, insecurities, setbacks, reading, prayer, love, and connection with people who encourage and support me. Unfortunately, for me there is way too much loss of people whom I once thought could not live without, the loss of romantic love, betrayals but much greater loyalty and the evolution of friendships.
I can’t explain why we yearn, evolve, grown, learn, and continue the process as much as we do in our lives, but I do know that when we embrace our passions and create from a place of our own true, unique expressions we uncover the confidence and courage to be the brandistas we are meant to be. We create beautiful memories, things and the very substance of what our lives are all about- love.
As we prepare to celebrate the holidays and wrap another year, I challenge you to embrace the fullness of your potential. Every single day try to figure out something amazing to create or do. Something that makes your toes curls and eyes sparkle. Sit in silence and think about how much you are consciously creating for your life and how much you’re allowing to happen by default. Challenge your behaviors and thought patterns, if you do things that aren’t supportive of the person you’re evolving into, drop it, leave it behind in the old year. Change is truly the only consistency, so let’s commit to changing those things that no longer serve our highest and best potential.
Fulfillment is such an amazing virtue and our lives are filled with unlimited possibilities for us to find it. Let’s move into the new year with the courage to embrace our passions, drop anything destructive and live in fulfillment as the brandistas we are meant to be.
