The most recognizable success stories inevitably are consisted of those people who have positioned their personal brands to stand out from the pack. As your brand you, let me point out, more often than not, the people who are regarded as the most accomplished in their spaces are not commonly the most talented, but  are indeed the most strategic at marketing themselves and their capabilities.

As you craft you brand yo, commit to distinguishing yourself through creating the strongest image and reputation that is authentic to you.  Your personal brand has to set you apart and differentiate you. We are all so original in our lifestyles, behaviors and interests. So, be authentic and true to your capabilities, style, talents and commitments; yet, maximize your marketability! Definitely commit to building trust with the people you want to provide your services to. It’s just that simple. The process of building a strong and authentic personal brand will serve you well whether you are moving up the career ladder in your field, starting or growing a business or strategizing to become more valuable in your current workplace.

 

Morphing your personal brand should be strategic and exciting as you brand you.

You are simply packaging and marketing ‘You Incorporated’ the brand that you have the most value and vested interest in. Ironically, it’s a brand you have 100% control over, sure, that could be intimidating if your over think the process.  To do it right, spend some time observing yourself and deciding what is it that gets you going, in your bliss- sorta speak.  With a strong sense of yourself you can easily undertake the steps that follows: identifying your target market, differentiating yourself from the pack, communicating your brand to people who need to know how fabulous you are and aligning every public aspect of your life with that brand. So don’t over think it! Keep it simple, who am I, what innate gifts and talents do I have to share in the world and how do I best communicate that? What behaviors or routines should I adopt to make certain I’m always presenting my best face forward? Yes, your image, your style of communication, your follow through and most importantly your vibes! Simple right? Yes, it really is, but it does require clarity, consistency and the commitment to follow through.

 

In the global economy that we as brandistas are now able to fully engage and compete in, I challenge myself everyday, which gives me the right to challenge you to consciously craft your most authentic self and present that self and all its unique capabilities to build upon your successes.

 

Have fun with it, be you as you brand you;  but be strategic and release that inner marketing guru within yourself. Build, create, communicate, perfect, re-build, position, communicate “Me Incorporated,” this is your livelihood invest in your most important stock option and  watch the dividends roll in.
