Work Smart, Play Hard

Courtney Rhodes, The Brandista

I Work Smart!

Work smart, play hard is the anthem of life for me these day. Early in my career, I believed that the harder I worked, the more successful I would become. Boy, nothing can be any farther from the truth. The reality is ‘hard work’ is such a relevant term. It’s relevant to the way you look at life and what you consider hard. I love the work I do everyday, and there isn’t anything hard about what I do. I know, I’m bless to have followed my passions and create a career around the things that I’m passionate about.

Now I understand- a notable key to success: work smart and strategic.

Always work smart!

Working smart means doing things that will prepare you for long term success. It means working with the intention of achieving specific goals; and personal branding is a great platform to utilize while working towards achieving career fulfillment and a great work + personal life balance. I think everyone should build a personal brand, that is so regarded it works on your behalf in your absent. You can build your personal brand as a career professional, business owner, philanthropist etc., it doesn’t matter. It’s simple, ¬†educate your ‘public/audience/client’ about what you’re great at and what makes you different from others offering the same capabilities. A key to remember, when you put in work, your work should speak on your behalf long after the work is completed. Your work + how others perceive your interactions while doing your work; will ultimately be your personal brand and legacy. Brandistas, ALWAYS work smart, so that your work will positively contribute to a legacy and personal brand you’re proud of!

A powerful personal brand works for you in your absence.
